It was a pleasure to be part of the latest Bath Spa University Business Talks last night, exploring how the Future Ambition Board B&NES can help influence regional strategy and strengthen collaborative decision-making.
The event was well attended, with a fantastic panel bringing together Sonya Chowdhury (FAB Chair), Sophie Broadfield (B&NES Council CEO), Allison Herbert (Bath BID), Becky Somerset (Bath 3SG), Professor Kyriaki Anagnostopoulou (BSU) and Sue Marchant (Cool Ventures). The discussion highlighted the breadth of expertise and perspectives across our region.
A number of important themes emerged, including the value of developing a shared narrative about our place and, crucially, the importance of key stakeholders and decision-makers communicating, coordinating and collaborating to help Bath and North East Somerset succeed and thrive.
Thank you to Steven Goulton, Director of Law at Bath Spa University, and Leslie Redwood of Mogers Drewett Solicitors for inviting us and helping make the evening such a success.
If your organisation would like to host members of the Future Ambition Board for a conversation about our region and its future, we’d love to hear from you.
