In less than a month, Bath will welcome leaders, policymakers, businesses and communities from across the country as we host the Key Cities annual ‘Cities Forum’.
Taking place on Thursday 11 June, this free event will bring together representatives from national government, local authorities and the private sector to explore some of the biggest opportunities and challenges facing UK cities today.
As a proud member of the Key Cities network, Bath is delighted to host this important conversation. Key Cities is a national network of medium-sized cities and towns that play a vital role in driving economic growth, supporting communities and shaping the future of the UK. Together, Key Cities members represent millions of people and make a significant contribution to the national economy, ensuring that the voices of places like Bath are heard at the highest levels.
This year’s forum, themed Partnering for Prosperity, will focus on how cities can work together with government, investors and businesses to unlock growth and deliver better outcomes for local people. Discussions will explore how public-private partnerships are evolving beyond traditional funding models to become more integrated approaches that align investment, policy and local priorities.
The programme will feature expert panels examining topics including housing, cultural identity, climate action and infrastructure – issues that are central to the future success of cities across the UK and to Bath’s own ambitions for sustainable and inclusive growth.
Hosting the Cities Forum is an important opportunity for Bath. It allows us to showcase our city, share our experiences, and learn from other places facing similar challenges. It also highlights the role Bath can play in helping shape national conversations about growth, investment and the future of our communities.
Following the discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to join guided walking tours of the Milsom Quarter or the Bath Central Riverside regeneration project, offering a closer look at some of the exciting developments helping to shape the city’s future.
